The True Titanic Love Story / Ida and Isidor Straus faced the end heroically @ SFGate
"Anyone familiar with the "Titanic" saga -- in any of its many incarnations -- is familiar with the story of Isidor and Ida Straus. In an incident that has become legend, Ida Straus put her foot into a lifeboat and then stepped back, deciding to share her husband's fate. They both went down with the ship.
In the musical "Titanic," the Strauses have the big second- act number, "Still," in which Isidor sings to Ida of their lifelong love affair. In the James Cameron blockbuster movie, the Strauses are shown in their cabin, holding each other as the water rushes in.
These are the trappings of fiction, so memorable in their way that they can almost make one forget these were real people. One way to remember that fact is to encounter one of their real-live descendants . . . such as Brett Gladstone, the Strauses' 42-year-old great-great-grandson.
Gladstone, a real estate development lawyer with his own downtown San Francisco firm, will be in the audience at the Orpheum on opening night with members of his family. "They sent 50 tickets to family members," Gladstone says. "I saw the show in New York, and I have to say that when I watched the duet of my grandparents, I was just in tears."
He apparently was not the only one. The story of the Strauses has captured the imagination of people for 88 years. First there's Ida's heroism. Then there's the fact that she's willing to die with Isidor -- that speaks well of him, too. The image of their dignity in the face of chaos and doom is awe-inspiring.
"Personally, I've always fantasized about a relationship that lasts forever, and it's touching to see that such a thing can really happen," Gladstone says. "I'm a bit of a romantic, and the idea of a longtime, very close friendship with a romantic partner is an ideal I respect and aspire to. I don't think that makes me unique. Many members of the public feel that way.""

Discover your Partner’s Hidden Sexual Fantasies. Check it out and take the test. @ mojo upgrade
"Mojo Upgrade is an interactive sex questionnaire for couples to help them discover the fantasies that they might both enjoy together.
Mojo Upgrade is an interactive sex questionnaire for couples. We present a list of sexual fantasies to both partners separately and have them indicate their level of interest. After the couple has finished the survey, we compare the answers. If you both gave a positive response to an activity, then we'll share it; if not, we don’t. That way if your partner is not game to watch midget porn with you, they won't know.
The questionnaire only takes about 10 minutes per partner.
Best of all, it's free (as in beer) and you don't even have to register. Get your partner, and get started. "

"Love shows up in all forms, even very small and cheeky forms, it has never been a model, it could be the most dull and boring form.. . flowers, and romantic moments are only used and appear on the surface of the relationship…"
"My husband is an Engineer by profession, I love him for his steady nature, and I love the warm feeling when I lean against his broad shoulders.
Three years of courtship and now, two years into marriage, I would have to admit, that I am getting tired of it. The reasons of me loving him before, has now transformed into the cause of all my restlessness.
I am a sentimental woman and extremely sensitive when it comes to a relationship and my feelings, I yearn for the romantic moments, like a little girl yearning for candy. My husband, is my complete opposite, his lack of sensitivity, and the inability of bringing romantic moments into our marriage has disheartened me about love.
One day, I finally decided to tell him my decision, that I wanted a divorce.
“Why?” he asked, shocked. “I am tired, there are no reasons for everything in the world!” I answered. He kept silent the whole night, seems to be in deep thought with a lighted cigarette at all times. My feeling of disappointment only increased, here was a man who can’t even express his predicament, what else can I hope from him? And finally he asked me:” What can I do to change your mind?”
Somebody said it right, it’s hard to change a person’s personality, and I guess, I have started losing faith in him. Looking deep into his eyes I slowly answered : “Here is the question, if you can answer and convince my heart, I will change my mind, Let’s say, I want a flower located on the face of a mountain cliff, and we both are sure that picking the flower will cause your death, will you do it for me?” He said :” I will give you your answer tomorrow….” My hopes just sank by listening to his response.

Pink Went To Lengths To Get Carey Hart Back!*may trigger*
"I had made him a photo album of all the cards he had ever given me, of all the photos of our entire relationship. I spent months on this album. On the last page, I pasted a photo of me from a really bad movie I made years ago with my neck slit and blood everywhere. Next to it I wrote, 'This is me without you.' On the next page, there was a picture of a baby. And I wrote: 'The rest is unwritten.' The divorce papers that we never signed were behind that page. I was like, 'The rest is up to you.' And I did all of this in his favorite bra and panties.""

Watch THX 1138
"THX 1138 is a 1971 science fiction film directed by George Lucas in his feature directorial debut. The film was produced by Francis Ford Coppola and written by Lucas and Walter Murch. It stars Robert Duvall and Donald Pleasence and depicts a dystopian future in which the populace is controlled through android police officers and mandatory use of drugs that suppress emotion, including sexual desire.
THX 1138 was developed from Lucas' student film Electronic Labyrinth: THX 1138 4EB, which he made in 1967 while attending the University of Southern California's film school. The feature film was produced in a joint venture between Warner Brothers and Francis Ford Coppola's production company, American Zoetrope. A novelization by Ben Bova was published in 1971. The film received mixed reviews from critics and failed to find box office success on initial release; however, the film has subsequently received critical acclaim over the years and gained a cult following, particularly in the aftermath of Lucas' success with Star Wars in 1977."

i keep anger in my breastbone, he holds it in his hands. i feel sadness on my shoulders, he feels it in his lungs.
we play this game until we come to love, and i realize that i am terrified (jugular vein) of what might come. what if it is not the same. what if he feels it somewhere else, what if it is just a flash fire, not the slow burn, what if it is congealing in one place instead of radiating, i try to change topics, flight response (sternum)
he takes my hands in his and puts them over his ribs and says, “everywhere, everywhere, like a sun is trying to escape me, like i am being consumed and you are filling up where used to be empty.” i say, “don’t be ridiculous humans are 99% empty space,” i nervous laugh (spiders down spine), he holds his gaze with me.

What is a Worldview? [of love] by LoveVsLust's website
Christian pov that doesn't shame us all
Even if you are an atheist this is a good read.
"Most of us receive our worldview from the community into which we are born and remain committed to it throughout our lives. Some of us, however, encounter situations or have experiences which cannot be explained by our inherited worldview. Whether conscious or subconscious, every person has some type of worldview. A personal worldview is a combination of all you believe to be true, and what you believe becomes the driving force behind every emotion, decision and action. Therefore, it affects your response to every area of life: from philosophy to science, theology and anthropology to economics, law, politics, art and social order. It affects essentially everything. For example, let’s suppose you have bought the idea that beauty is in the eye of the beholder (secular relative truth) as opposed to beauty as defined by God’s purity and creativity (absolute truth), then any art piece, no matter how vulgar or abstract, would be considered ‘art’, a creation of beauty. Whatever the culture in which we live, 1 John 2:16 lists three desires of the heart that reveal worldliness: "the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes, and the boasting of what he has or does." David Jackman comments, "The 'worldly' characteristics of which the verse speaks are in fact reactions going on inside us as we contemplate the environment outside." In other words, the root issue when it comes to worldliness is internal in nature, not environmental. John is equipping us to discern worldliness where it first lurks: within the heart....
Infatuation/Conditional Love
Romance is always considered to be a pleasant experience. Maximum numbers of novels are based on romance only. So are many movies and television shows. However, many romances end as a failure because the initial infatuation covers up the negative traits. Later on, when the knowledge of such negative aspects starts growing, disenchantment sets in.
Picture
Love promoted by this world’s standard is conditional love. Relationships of love lived outside the Christian Faith have many “ifs.” Love is conditioned by the attitude, “If you meet my needs then I’ll meet yours. In the view of many people today God has been humanized. God’s love has been perverted. Many view God as a giant Bayer aspirin. Take god three times a day and everything will work out alright. God’s love has been refashioned into man’s own image and likeness.
Conditional love is selfish love. Selfish love is the attitude that God made man to indulge in lust. Selfish love will tell you to pull your own strings, manipulate others through intimidation, do anything to get your own way.
In marriage, conditional love often plays the game of one-upmanship. I’m one good deed up on you so you owe me. “I carried out the trash, you must do the dishes. I worked ten hours today, you must tuck the kids into bed. I was the last one to say, “I love you,” Now it’s your turn.”
Conditional love is mechanical and cold and does not last.
Conditional selfish love says, “It’s my way or you take the highway.” Selfish love quickly turns to anger and often ends in violence. Selfish love practices the opposite of what Jesus taught that we are to love our neighbours."

"Advice: Help! He Disappears, Doesn’t Call, Pops Up Every Fortnight and Gives Me a Magical Time. Is He Unavailable? Er…YEAH" My response.. this isn't true.
Not claiming she has HPD or any of the women in the comments do.
This is the article
A lot of women do this. They NEED attention all the time. Some people just do not feel like talking on the phone or emailing all the time.Plus, they may have a different "love language" than you do.
These people may need letters, notes, emails and phone calls (words of affirmation) and time together (quality time) while their man shows his love through gifts, touch and doing work around the house (acts of service). Take the test together and see if you can figure something out. Maybe he could show you more love through letters instead of doing things around the house (acts of service) and maybe you could notice the little things he does around the house (acts of service) and do things for him as well to sow your love. People love and show it differently. People need the touch and quality time together which is why the time together is so "magical" but for him, it's not his way of showing a person he loves them.

If You Don’t Feel These 10 Ways In Your Relationship… It’s Not Real by Lauren Martin @ Elite Daily
"Relationships are all about feelings. One morning, you’re up; by night, you’re down… but by “down,” I don’t mean in the dumps. I mean down to the core of your existence, experiencing new levels of emotion and pain. Those who say relationships are all moments of bliss and euphoria aren’t wrong; they’re just forgetting a lot.Because good relationships have those negative feelings as much as they have positive ones. Only, the negative ones aren’t negative in the way you’ve experienced them before. You feel them in a completely new way. You feel sad, but it’s sorrow that comes from deep yearning. You feel scared, but for the first time, it’s a fear that comes when you’re completely and utterly dependent on someone else.
You feel blind, but you can see perfectly. You feel empty — because for the first time, you’re giving so much away. These negative feelings aren’t talked about often because, without context, they sound off-putting. But the best relationships are the ones that are making you feel all the time. You’re constantly learning not just about each other, but about yourself: how much love you can have for someone, how much love you have for yourself and how much it can f*cking hurt to be in love.Because love isn’t just happy; it’s painful, terrifying and a little nasty. But you signed up for all of it – not just the good. You signed up for the roller coaster because you’d rather be feeling an array of things than nothing. You’d rather be scared sh*tless, about to plummet to the ground than be standing on the side. You’d rather be riding the ups and downs than not be on the ride at all."
