"The Pilot Kids formed in 2011 and are comprised of Jonny (vocals/production) and Donrique (guitars/production). They are from Manalapan, New Jersey and currently reside in Los Angeles.
Jonny began playing piano at age 6, later picking up other instruments like guitar and drums throughout his childhood. He started writing music at 10 in the form of parodies of popular songs which he recorded and sold in middle school. Throughout high school, he acted in plays and musicals while focusing heavily on screenwriting and film directing. He went to NYU’s Tisch School Of The Arts and graduated in 2012 with a BFA in Film Production.
Donrique comes from a fingerstyle guitar background, teaching himself how to play at age 15. During high school he became successful with clothing design and album art, doing work for Taking Back Sunday, Chiodos, and a slew of other Drive-Thru Records artists. He established his own clothing brand, Kill The Pilot, at age 16. Eventually he began merging all this with his interest in guitar and designed album art for fingerstyle artists like Gareth Pearson, Joe Robinson, and many others. He taught himself how to produce electronic music while in college at University of The Arts studying Fine Art, and graduated in 2012.
They released their first mixtape, Cardboard Hearts, in the summer of 2012 after graduating from college. After minimal critical reception, they put out a music video called “Million Bucks” on YouTube that same year which gained them the attention of many record labels. They signed with RedZone Records, Tricky Stewart’s label (“Single Ladies” by Beyonce, “Baby” by Justin Bieber, “Umbrella” by Rihanna) in 2013.
After months of refining their sound and recording music in Atlanta, they moved to Los Angeles in 2014. They released their debut 6-track EP entitled “Open Fire!” through RedZone Records in late 2014.
Currently they are focusing on writing even better fucking music and making even better fucking videos.

"Delivering lyrics with the speed of a bullet train, Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly (aka MGK) experienced a meteoric rise in late 2011. Born Richard Colson Baker in Texas but raised in the Cleveland suburb of Shaker Heights, MGK began making news in 2009 when he became the first rapper to win at amateur night at Harlem's Apollo Theater. A series of mixtapes, including 100 Words and Running, Lace Up, and Rage Pack came next; a 2011 performance at SXSW was followed immediately by a meeting with Sean Combs. Kelly signed with Comb's Bad Boy imprint that night and released the single "Wild Boy" on the label that same year. The track featured special guest Waka Flocka Flame and MGK's debut album Lace Up landed in 2012. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi" Credit
