Jeffree Star - Beauty Killer

You can be hot as f*ck without injections though and there are tons of ways to fix sagging skin, wrinkeles, etc without plastic surgery. For me, it's hard work being beautiful... like home masks, (homemade) lip plumpers, etc.

Survival of the Prettiest: The Science of Beauty by Nancy Etcoff

"In this provocative, witty, and thoroughly researched inquiry into what we find beautiful and why, Nancy Etcoff skewers one of our culture's most enduring myths, that the pursuit of beauty is a learned behavior. Etcoff, a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and a practicing psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, skewers the enduring myth that the pursuit of beauty is a learned behavior.

Etcoff puts forth that beauty is neither a cultural construction, an invention of the fashion industry, nor a backlash against feminism, but instead is in our biology. It's an essential and ineradicable part of human nature that is revered and ferociously pursued in nearly every civilizatoin--and for good reason. Those features to which we are most attracted are often signals of fertility and fecundity. When seen in the context of a Darwinian struggle for survival, our sometimes extreme attempts to attain beauty--both to become beautiful ourselves and to acquire an attractive partner--become understandable. Moreover, if we come to understand how the desire for beauty is innate, then we can begin to work in our interests, and not soley for the interests of our genetic tendencies."

Loving Life at 90 by Phyllis Sues

"If you don't train the body every day it withers. If you don't train the mind everyday, you lose it. That's why I learned Italian and French, as learning a language is a great mental exercise. I then challenged myself to write music. I wrote the music and lyrics for my first song "Free Fall," which was inspired by flying on the trapeze. A CD followed with 12 songs: Scenes Of Passion. And then six tangos for Tango Insomnia. I now write short songs daily about things I do.
AGING GRACEFULLY
Tango dancing is a fantastic exercise, as it's physical and emotional. It's the only time, when I turn off my mind and just dance, so I am in the moment. To look effortless in dance is sheer beauty. That's my desire. I'm still performing, as it keeps my body in tune, is good for my memory and it makes my life a joy. A triple Boleo in the air would make my journey complete. Marcos (my teacher/dance partner) says it will take two years. I tell him, I have time!....

Working and accomplishing something mental and physical makes my day worth living and suddenly there is a break through, another step on the ladder. I don't give up. The sun and moon are there for everyone. The journey is worth it! This trip has been good to me and I wouldn't trade it for all the stars in the universe.

There is a way to beat the clock. Stay fit and enjoy the journey. Accept the challenge and go for it!"

If I want to do light makeup, or go full bimbo I can by WLI

The stereotypical "Bimbofication" and the "stripper"/"porn star" /"barbie" /"ratchet" style is beautiful and should be respected. These women are not stupid, or "garbage."They are most likely not oppressed or forced to dress any way they do not want to. If that is how they feel the most comfortable, let them be.

Stop shaming women, or men because they like dressing a certain way. Isn't that what feminism, and teaching others to stop shaming is about? Stop shaming women for dressing one way to tell people to accept women who dress casual and natural. All styles are beautiful, no one is garbage for how they dress or how much, or how little makeup they wear.

Telomere extension turns back aging clock in cultured human cells, study finds

"Few procedure can quickly and efficiently increase the length of human telomeres, the protective caps on the ends of chromosomes that are linked to aging and disease, according to scientists at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

Treated cells behave as if they are much younger than untreated cells, multiplying with abandon in the laboratory dish rather than stagnating or dying.
The procedure, which involves the use of a modified type of RNA, will improve the ability of researchers to generate large numbers of cells for study or drug development, the scientists say. Skin cells with telomeres lengthened by the procedure were able to divide up to 40 more times than untreated cells. The research may point to new ways to treat diseases caused by shortened telomeres.
Telomeres are the protective caps on the ends of the strands of DNA called chromosomes, which house our genomes. In young humans, telomeres are about 8,000-10,000 nucleotides long. They shorten with each cell division, however, and when they reach a critical length the cell stops dividing or dies. This internal "clock" makes it difficult to keep most cells growing in a laboratory for more than a few cell doublings."

Scientists reverse ageing process in mice; early human trials showing 'promising results'

"The research has focused on mice, but early clinical trials have also been conducted on humans.

The scientists said they switched youthful genes on and older genes off, using naturally occurring proteins and molecules.

Professor of genetics at Harvard and UNSW, David Sinclair, led the research team.

AUDIO: Listen to Sue Lannin's report (The World Today)
"We've discovered genes that control how the body fights against ageing and these genes, if you turn them on just the right way, they can have very powerful effects, even reversing ageing - at least in mice so far," he said.

"We fed them a molecule that's called NMN and this reversed ageing completely within just a week of treatment in the muscle, and now we're looking to reverse all aspects of ageing if possible."

Professor Sinclair said the breakthroughs could be used to develop drugs to restore youthfulness in human cells.

"We've gone from mice into early human studies actually. There have been some clinical trials around the world, and we're hoping in the next few years to know if this will actually work in people as well," he said.

The clinical trials were small studies but showed promising results in humans, he said.

"They show that the molecules that extend lifespan in mice are safe in people; they seem to be anti-inflammatory, so they might be useful against disease's inflammation, like skin redness or even inflammatory bowel disease," he said.

"Eventually we want these molecules to be taken by many people to prevent diseases of ageing and make them live longer, healthier lives."

Professor Sinclair was named by Time Magazine as one of most influential people in the world.

Check out Eden's Garden

"Edens Garden was grown out of a desire to offer the highest quality aromatherapy products at great prices!

We often get the question "why are your prices so reasonable"?  We emphatically respond that we have taken out every middle man possible, ensuring quality, freshness and amazing prices!  With this wonderful decision, comes a savings that we feel should be passed on directly to you.

We have also chosen not to sell on a wholesale level.  In other words, we would rather offer low prices to our loyal customer base, rather than offering a low price to stores and then marking the price up dramatically to our direct customers.  This has proven to be appreciated and we will continue to make our customers our #1 priority.

Check out Corsetiere (dot) net and history of [women's] undergarments

Great website about the history of women's (and sometimes men's) undergarment's. Women choose to wear these, it gives them a better posture and of course women once believed it helped them lose weight, gave them a bigger bust permanently instead of temporally. Just like wearing clothes, or shoes.

"At the outset, we must admit that this site is not a work of scholarship, simply a collection of memories and facts gleaned from material of the period, both garments and catalogues. There are few references and although we own many of the pictures, some are obviously internet sourced and may or may not be protected by copyright. We have never made any money from this site; in fact it is quite expensive to maintain but it is a labour of love. In fact, we have used the collection of corsets to construct calendars with the garments modelled by willing volunteers. All monies received from these calendars have been given to charities chosen by the models.

For many years my husband and I researched and added to an inherited collection, the articles from which form this basis of this web site. The original idea was to publish the fascinating history of Spirella and the corsetieres who worked for this company before knowledge of the era became lost forever. However, the idea of compiling a small book that would almost certainly never be published was overtaken by the advent of the Internet. Definitely not of the Internet generation, our introduction to this new medium was slow and painful, but ultimately so worth while.

We found many sites dedicated to foundation garments. Their professional approach to the subject and their layout left us acutely aware of our limited abilities to create a web site. It was simply the unexpected discovery of Microsoft's Front Page that allowed us to start building this site.

As the compilation of this web site progressed, we began to realise how little we knew about this fascinating era. What I believed was my 'in-depth' knowledge was very much based on the experiences of somebody who has lived in Britain and Holland. These experiences differ in detail from the American experience and I am always grateful to correspondents who correct me when my assumptions from the east of the Atlantic contradict those from the west.
