Who is Melisser Elliott / Check out The Urban Housewife

"The Urban Housewife – she’s like a regular housewife, only with a heck of a lot less space to work with.

She’s also me! I’m Birdy Slim, and not too long ago Husband and I moved to our tiny love nest in Brooklyn. If you’ve ever lived in a city, you know the struggles that come with cramming an entire life (and a shared one at that) into a Polly Pocket-sized apartment. And the challenges don’t stop there. The walk from my place to the store is too long. I’m too short to hang the curtains I trudged all the way across town for. My imagination is way to big for my small third floor walkup. And my budget makes a shoestring look like one of those plush velvet ropes outside the club I’m too tired to go out to on Saturday night.

But the Urban Housewife is always up for a challenge! That’s why I started theUrbanHousewife.com - advice, tips and tricks for the big city girl with a small domestic space."

How I store my grains and beans by WLI

1. In a jar.
The grains or beans I plan to use before the others I bought in bulk I keep in jars.

2.In Tupperware containers
The cooked beans and grains I keep in a Tupperware container.

3. The grains and (some) beans (that have the same shaped -or similar-packaging) I keep in a Bob's Red Mill box. You don't have to eat that brand, but I love them! If you don't just get a similar box, or buy and give to a food shelter and keep the box.

Dave Seah's Printable CEO™ Series

Note: I laminate everything so I don't have to keep wasting paper. This way I can just wipe everything off at the end of the day/week.

"The Printable CEO™ (PCEO) was born from a desire to focus my time more productively. For me, that means things that make my freelance practice sustainable and fun. The Printable CEO name comes from the idea that a good CEO should focus primarily on those things that move the company forward; since I can’t afford to hire my own CEO, being able to print one out seemed like the next best thing! :-)
PCEO Main Forms
In general, I use only one form at a time depending on what my needs are at the moment:"

Who are the Minimalist/what is minimalism?

"Minimalism is a lifestyle that helps people question what things add value to their lives. By clearing the clutter from life’s path, we can all make room for the most important aspects of life: health, relationships, passion, growth, and contribution.

There are many flavors of minimalism: a 20-year-old single guy’s minimalist lifestyle looks different from a 45-year-old mother’s minimalist life. Even though everyone embraces minimalism differently, each path leads to the same place: a life with more time, more money, and more freedom to live a more meaningful life.
The Minimalists
Getting started is as simple as asking yourself one question: How might your life be better if you owned fewer material possessions?"

Life hacks you never knew existed

"These simple yet effective life hacks aren't just time savers, they're also money savers too. Take the post-it life hack for example; no need to spend money on fancy tools to clean those hard to reach areas, just use an old post-it note to get the job done! Another great life hack is the toasted sandwich idea. By placing two slices of bread in a single toaster slot you can create the ultimate toasted sandwich. Never again will a BLT be the same!"
