Who is Jason Brown (ex-footballer/farmer)

"Jason W. Brown (born May 5, 1983 in Henderson, North Carolina) is a former American football center. He played college football at North Carolina and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Despite earning a starting position for the Ravens and later earning a $37 million five-year contract with the St. Louis Rams in free agency, Brown walked away mid-contract to pursue his convictions to farm and reduce poverty in his native rural Louisburg, North Carolina. Some would dispute this assertion since the last NFL transaction recorded for Brown was his release by the Rams on March 12, 2012, although shortly afterward he received interest from and/or made free agent visits to the Carolina Panthers, San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens"
After Football
Brown chose to walk away from football in 2012 at the age of 29 to become a farmer in Louisburg, North Carolina. He maintains a 1,000-acre farm where he grows produce such as sweet potatoes and cucumbers. He donates these crops to local food pantries, having given away over 46,000 pounds of sweet potatoes and 10,000 pounds of cucumbers. Brown began learning about farming practices in 2012 by watching YouTube videos

Check out /what is Humanity's Team

"Humanity’s Team is an international spiritual movement whose purpose is to communicate and demonstrate the timeless truth that We Are All One, with God and life – caring for each other and the world we share – so that people's actions reflect this profound understanding within a generation.  We believe that living this truth is essential to solving the most chronic and acute world problems and vital to creating a sustainable world of peace, harmony and happiness.

Dubbed “a civil rights movement for the soul,” the movement has over 100,000 adherents from more than 150 countries on six continents.

Humanity’s Team was created by the spiritual author Neale Donald Walsch, author of the Conversations with God series of books, in 2003 in response to the inspiration he received in the producing of those books regarding the crisis that the human race was facing following the events of September 11th, 2001.

In early 2004, Steve Farrell became the Worldwide Coordinating Director.  Together with a small team he formed a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and created a governance structure and programs focused on awakening the world to Oneness.

At the same time, Country Coordinators around the world created local structures and programs focusing mainly on spiritual education and “inner work” and joined with a leadership team in collaborating on and approving the governance structure guiding Humanity's Team today.

Humanity’s Team, based in Boulder, Colorado, proposes a New Spirituality that enlarges and enhances humanity’s current beliefs about God and about life in ways that could change how we live with each other, bringing peace and harmony to our planet at last.

The New Spirituality is not a new religion. Rather, it is an expansion of all our present theologies; an updating of them; a refreshing of them, rendering all of our current sacred teachings even more relevant to our present day and time.

Key to the New Spirituality is a belief that God is not separate from anyone or anything — and neither are we."

Beware of Images

""A feature-length, animated documentary about the evolution of visual language throughout history. As we are increasingly exposed to mediated realities, it is crucial to understand the history, purpose and mechanisms of representation.

"Beware of Images" explores the subject from three different, but interdependent, historical standpoints: Technology, Regulation and Effects. The film is divided into 13 chapters that touch on diverse yet interconnected subjects. From the cave paintings to video games, the audience will be taken on a journey that is at once fascinating, harrowing and hopeful.

Our mission is to generate an engaging and respectful dialogue around the subject of media literacy."

Yellow Bird Project

"We are a Montreal-based organization called Yellow Bird Project. We work with an amazing range of indie rock musicians to create unique t-shirt designs that benefit an array of charities, each chosen by the musicians.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

indie-rock-coloring-bookLet’s set the scene- the year was 2006, the sun it was shining, and two recent uni grads Casey and Matt set out to conquer the world. Like Bono on a mission, we decided it was time to make a difference and bring about a new world order of indie philanthropy. Maybe it was philosophy 101, guitar lessons, or an infinite awe for music that inspired us to climb aboard this train we like to call Yellow Bird, but we’re sure glad we did.  Matt, in all his computer geekdom, was pretty involved in the wonderful world wide web, and so the online community seemed like an ideal venue for inter-galactic indie domination. Casey, with his salesman swagger became the spokesperson for attracting new bands and artists. Together they forged into a solid brigade and the troops then followed, the trumpets played, and the community kept expanding.

Filippo Bruno

"Filippo Bruno was born in Nola, near Naples, the son of Giovanni Bruno, a soldier, and Fraulissa Savolino. He took the name Giordano upon entering the Dominican order. In the great Dominican monastery in Naples (where Thomas Aquinas had taught), Bruno was instructed in Aristotelian philosophy.

His exceptional expertise in the art of memory brought him to the attention of patrons, and he was brought to Rome to demonstrate his abilities to the Pope. During this period he may also have come under the influence of Giovanni Battista Della Porta, a Neapolitan polymath who published an important book on natural magic. Bruno was attracted to new streams of thought, among which were the works of Plato and Hermes Trismegistus, both resurrected in Florence by Marsilio Ficino in the late fifteenth century. Hermes Trismegistus was thought to be a gentile prophet who was a contemporary of Moses. The works attributed to him in fact date from the turn of the Christian era."

Sacred Activism

"I am deeply moved by the living fire of Sacred Activism with the key voice, teacher and light in this emerging consciousness, Andrew Harvey. He has founded the Institute for Sacred Activism to implement a vision for "a new world founded in universal compassion and sacred passion for all life".My experience of sacred activism began when I was 17 and spent a year and a half doing volunteer work in Kenya before I went to college. That experience has transformed my life as well as the incredible teachers that I have met on the path and beautiful people who are serving life in small and extraordinary ways. I bow to your heart. I bow to the transformation of suffering and the re-birth of a green culture for the future.

My personal sacred activism projects have been quietly gaining momentum. Through God's grace and the power of community much can be accomplished with joy, steady focus and the spirit of service. We have planted over 350,000 trees through Trees for the Future and the Global Mala Project now happens in over 50 countries with over 800 events around the world for the Fall Equinox weekend, UN International Peace Day. Let us all become Energy Activists and commit to move towards non-toxic fuel sources our bodies and the earth, consciousness and the earth. Thank you for your unwavering spirit.

"Global Mala

In 2007, the Global Mala Project was started as a way to bring people around the world together to work with the collective heart field by synchronizing breath, intention, and global awareness in yoga practice connected to 108 (from surya namaskar, to mantra japa), to raise consciousness and funds for good causes. It has since traveled around the world through more than fifty countries and continues every year on the United Nations’ International Day of Peace, which takes place around the fall equinox, and at any time ritual activation is needed.

Offering a collective yoga mala practice is a powerful experience of heart entrainment as people move together for eighteen to 108 rounds of collective movement around the breath pulse we all share. Empower yourself in your own practice first, on ritual holidays, before leading a group.

Krama One—create a sacred space for your practice

If possible, bring everyone into a mandala circle to practice around a community altar. The circle empowers the community and is symbolic of a mala, but not all spaces lend themselves to a circle—if yours does not, don’t let this deter you......"

U By Kotex

*Note: I only support the cause, not the product. Kotex tests on animals, and that is not cool. don't buy the product, but support this cause!

""Get this: Over three-quarters of girls feel like they shouldn’t talk about their vagina or vaginal health in general. More than half of girls say that most girls their age are misinformed about vaginal health.
What is this, the 1950s? Even though we’re living in the 21st century, it’s easy to have negative feelings about our bodies when society is busy building myths and treating vaginas like some crazy big secret
With Generation Know*, we’re working to put an end to all of that by bringing girls together to drive real social change about one of the most important aspects of being a girl. We believe that when girls have a shared voice, the myths, misinformation and embarrassment lose power. And truth, pride and facts gain strength"
