Make Him BEG for Your Attention: 75 Communication Secrets for Captivating Men to Get the Love and Commitment You Deserve by Bruce Bryans

This can work for all sexes /genders

"Men give their undivided attention to those who respect them. If a man doesn't feel respected while communicating with you, he'll find the respect he needs elsewhere. The woman who knows how to communicate with men can influence the man she wants without resorting to that miniskirt he loves. A man craves the attention of a graceful woman who knows exactly what to say to him, when to say it, and, most importantly, how to say it to get what she wants. Men love being gracefully influenced by the woman they adore. If you're interested in learning how to talk to a man so he opens up to you, listens to you, and willingly gives you what you want without a fuss, this book will help you communicate with men more effectively. Here's what you're going to learn inside:

Discover how to tell him exactly what's on your mind without turning him off.

8 Ways to Guide Him to Your Clitoris @ Cosmo

things to say to sound nicer to your partner without giving him (or her-for same sex couples) aniexty or making them feel bad.
Examples...

Say This: "You're so good at rubbing my clitoris in circular motions with your fingertips...it gets me really turned on."

Why it Works: Giving him props strokes his ego, and he'll want to live up to his rep. And if he wasn't doing it correctly before, well, you just spelled out how you like it."

COMMUNICATION: S.E.T. technique @ BPD FamilyForums

"S.E.T. - Support, Empathy and Truth
An Important Communication Tool

The S.E.T. communication pattern was developed by Jerold J. Kreisman, MD and Hal Straus for communication with a person with BPD (pwBPD). It consists of a 3 step sequence where first Support is signaled, then Empathy is demonstrated and in a third step Truth is offered.

Few tools are easier to learn as S.E.T. and are as effective in getting across to a pwBPD. Few tools are as universal in everyday life with anyone. It is sort of an walking-on-eggshell antidote.

In this workshop we would like to discuss the use of communication tools.

1) When should you use SET

2) What are the tricks and traps of using such a tool. What has worked and what does not work.

3) What do you do if your partner calls you on it "Stop using those psychology tools on me"

Please feel free to ask questions on the how to do it in your own situation - we are often blind when it comes to our own setting. Always helpful for S.E.T. is to have some context e.g. what situation (facts & emotions) and what you want communicate.

Thanks for participating in this workshop!"

"How do you do S.E.T?

S.E.T. starts with signaling Support.
Words like  "Let me help you,..."
Helping gesture with your hands
Friendly, open facial expression

It continues with demonstrating Empathy.
Expressing the emotion the pwBPD is momentarily feeling like "..., you are exhausted, ..."
is very useful for S.E.T. if you have some basic experience with validation as this can help to build confidence in your ability to change your behavior and trust in your instincts to read a situation.
Plenty of material on validation found in  LESSONS: Tools for communication, validation, and reinforcement of good behavior on the staying board.

It concludes with expressing Truth.
In a non judgmental way "..., lack of sleep accumulates. The last three nights you were in bed after midnight."

"Once you have got the hang of these, then move onto the NLP exercises and experiment with any that seem interesting. Perhaps you're interested in timelines, or maybe you have a specific issue you want to deal with, such as a phobia or compulsion. All of these exercises can be used with other people and the more you work with them, the easier it will be for you to use NLP in a more freeform manner. Playing with these exercises is a great way to develop and deepen your understanding of NLP and your own mind so don't skimp here. Spend time and have fun.
PlanetNLP
Once you have got the hang of working with your own mind you can move onto working with others. It's one thing being able to talk someone through the various NLP exercises I have provided, but the NLP techniques on this site provide many of the skills you need to work with people in a more fluid and more hypnotic manner.

A good place to start is to develop your Sensory Acuity through learning skills such as eye accessing You can begin to develop these skills when you run through the described NLP exercises by simply watching what your client does in response to your instructions. It should be obvious if the client is doing as you expect. For instance if you ask someone to remember a time when they were happy then you would expect them to look upwards. You should be able to get a good idea of how their timeline runs too.

Certain exercises, such as the confidence building exercises, need other skills if you're planning to work with others. You need to be able to anchor strong states, and doing this when running through the exercises yourself is one thing, but it's a whole new level working with someone else. You'll need to develop your rapport and anchoring skills to use these kinds of skills.

If you wish to develop your hypnotic language, then learn the NLP language patterns such as the Milton Model.

The great thing about learning language skills once you are already able to use the NLP exercises with clients is that you can use the language patterns within the exercises and practice them over time rather than learning them all and trying to hypnotize someone. The exercises give you a structure and methodology to your work that allow you to add more skills and techniques over time.

Once you're using the language patterns fairly easily then you may wish to try a more formal hypnosis session. There is plenty of information in my Hypnosis Articles about developing these skills further and some example scripts if that is something you want to get into, though many people find script based hypnosis rather dull once they've got some experience using language patterns on the fly.

As you continue to practice working with others you may find the standard exercises become boring, but you have developed the basic skills so maybe it's time to play a little. How about modeling a skill someone you admire has and then installing it in someone else? The articles on NLP Modeling and Motivation Strategy Installation cover this skill.

There are many more areas of NLP to explore - Modeling is a huge area once you start delving into it. Then there are techniques such as Deep Trance Identification and Kinesthetic Lead, and related subjects such as Richard Bandlers' NHR and DHE."

NLP @ Business Balls

"This free introduction to NLP is provided by Robert Smith MBA, a leading international practitioner in neuro-linguistic programming and NLP Master Trainer. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) was created in the early 1970s by Richard Bandler, a computer scientist and Gestalt therapist, and Dr John Grinder, a linguist and therapist. Bandler and Grinder invented a process known as 'modelling' that enabled them to study three of the world's greatest therapists: Dr Milton Erickson, father of modern hypnotherapy; Fritz Perls, creator of Gestalt therapy; and Virginia Satir, the mother of modern-day family therapy. They wanted to know what made these therapists effective and to train others in their methods. What is offered today as NLP is the product of this modelling process.

how does nlp optimise individual and organizational performance?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is an extremely powerful concept. It is said by many to contain the most accessible, positive and useful aspects of modern psychology, and so can be helpful in virtually every aspect of personal and inter-personal relations. NLP has many beneficial uses for self-development, and for businesses and organizations; for example NLP enables better communications in customer service, and all types of selling. NLP enables better awareness and control of oneself, better appreciation of the other person's feelings and behavioural style, which in turn enables better empathy and cooperation. NLP improves understanding in all one-to-one communications, especially interviewing and appraisals (whether used by the interviewer or the interviewee). NLP certainly features strongly in facilitative selling. NLP is an enabling tool of Emotional Intelligence (EQ), which is an aspect of multiple intelligence theory. Neuro-Linguistic Programming can also be very helpful for stress management and developing self-belief and assertiveness and confidence. The empathic caring principles of NLP also assist the practical application of ethical and moral considerations (notably achieving detachment and objectivity), and using loving and compassionate ideas (simply, helping people) in work and life generally. These few examples illustrate the significance of NLP as a concept for personal and organizational development.

The experience of undergoing NLP training is a life-changing one for many people, and its techniques offer substantial advantages to people performing most roles in organizations:

Directors and executives
Managers at all levels
Sales people
Administrators
Engineering and technical staff
Customer care operatives
Receptionists
Secretarial staff
Trainers
HR and counselling staff

NLP techniques help particularly by making it possible for people to:

  • Set clear goals and define realistic strategies
  • Coach new and existing staff to help them gain greater satisfaction from their contribution
  • Understand and reduce stress and conflict
  • Improve new customer relationship-building and sales performance
  • Enhance the skills of customer care staff and reduce customer loss
  • Improve people's effectiveness, productivity and thereby profitability"
