"If you find an orphaned baby opossum: Put them in a box with a cloth or small towel in the bottom. " - Noah's Ark Sanctuary

"Since so many of your seemed to like & share our recent opossum post, we thought we'd give you another dose of opossum cuteness today! This was one of our rehab babies last year as he was getting released back into the wild.

Did you know opossums are North America’s only marsupial? They are a very important part of the ecosystem and clean up your neighborhood & streets while you sleep. They eat almost anything including insects, rats, old fruit, slugs, and dead animals.
If you find an orphaned baby opossum: Put them in a box with a cloth or small towel in the bottom. Keep the box in a warm & dry place while you contact a licensed rehabilitator as soon as possible. Do not give them any food or water (unless the licensed rehabilitator advises you otherwise)."
