I made nutrition cards so I can see and plan out how many calories each food it.
1. I took index cards, I used white, but colored may be better.
2. I wrote all the fruits and veggies using the rainbow system.
3. I then wrote out the service size and calorie count for each food in the grains, nuts, seeds, protein and dairy replacement food groups (I'm vegan, cows produce milk for THEIR young, not us). I also color coded them as well.
4. I separated each group with tabs taped to the top of the first card of each set.
5. I could write about 4-6 different foods on each card (I used both back and front)
