Our ancestors didn't eat as much meat as thought, despite what the founders of the Paleo diet says.
1. Humans aren’t natural meat-eaters....
Despite what meat-gobbling “Paleo” groupies would have you believe, human beings evolved as plant-eaters, and nearly all of our ancestors were vegetarians. As Harvard-trained paleo-anthropologist Dr. Christina Warinner explains in her TED talk, Debunking the Paleo diet, “humans have no known anatomical, physiological, or genetic adaptations to meat consumption.”
2. Humans have been eating grains for millions of years.
3. Humans have evolved.
