"Midoricon 2014 is returning with a vastly improved midnight hunt for Slenderman, along with your favorite Creepypasta haunts. On Maumee Bay's quarter mile hiking trail - not quite the staggering full mile from last year - you'll walk on an elevated bridge (with railings, mind you). all preventative measures to keep you from busting up those knees. Up until the point Slenderman drags you into the darkness, of course.
The Legend
Quite the prominent internet figure, Slenderman has quietly stalked his way through the shadows of the web, appearing first on the Something Awful forums, then in the unsettling works of the critically acclaimed Marble Hornets, and now starring in his very own independently developed game, Slender, if you've not yet heard of Slenderman, you've surely been living (or hiding) under a rock.
Midoricon knows the risk of hosting an our con in a woodland retreat, knowing full well that some of our attendees may even embrace it. Slenderman is a mysteriously shroud figure, and while his motivations and origins remain unclear, we know he appears in the desolate forests. We also know he preys primarily on young adults and children. The stakes at Midoricon are high, and you are invited, should you dare, to embark on a journey that could possibly change - or claim - your life.
The Search for Slender
The hike will last around 15 minutes in length. Our host will lead you through some potentially rocky or slippery terrain, lit only by the scarce light of the moon. Therefore, please take care to appropriate footwear and bring a flashlight! This is mandatory. "
