Beware of unprocessed, raw herbs

I am posting an excerpt from an article about Butterbur. While Butterbur is a great herb to help deal with allergies (I take it in capsule form), this proves that you must do research on anything you take, and never take any herb (not just Butterbur) unprocessed before doing research because many times they are harmful in its raw state. Please do not let this scare you away from herbalism,  this is just information that many people may not have or think about before eating, or drinking something and getting sick because they prepared it wrong (like if you don't cook meat correctly)

"The raw, unprocessed butterbur plant contains chemicals called pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs). PAs can cause liver damage and can result in serious illness. Only butterbur products that have been processed to remove PAs and are labeled or certified as PA-free should be used."
