Your Holiness Francis,
We would like to turn to His person, knowing His attention towards all the creatures that inhabit the planet. On the imminence of Holy Cristmas and for the next Holy Easter we have created a page on Facebook entitled, "Pope Francisco, please stop animal sacrifices" in order to urge the Church, and in particular Your holy person, to take a clear position on the torturing and killing of a tremendous number of animals during the most important religious festivals of our Lord.
We believe this is contrary to the Gospel's message and the compassion of the vast majority of God's believers, as also evidenced by the high number of petitions received supporting the cessation of cruelty towards all of God's animals, as followed by your namesake, St. Francis.
We are not here to ask you, of course, to advocate a vegan lifestyle, but to contribute, from the top of His Magisterium , to the achievement of a breakthrough in many respects, devoting specific attention to the subject of the Holocaust animal (animal factory farms, slaughterhouses, slaughter of other creatures for cosmetics and clothing, their use and exploitation in circus events and " spectacular events") in order to make inroads through His word, even in those who so far have preferred not to ask important questions relating to the relationship between humans and the other species, again as did Your namesake who saw God's work and mercy in ALL animals, human and non-human, a relationship which, in our opinion, should be based on the maximum responsibility, compassion, and awareness of the interdependence between various manifestations of life on His planet.
In the hope of Your positive response, Your mercy and compassion, and Your help for all of God's beings, we send our best regards combined with our respect, gratitude, and a feeling of deep reverence."
